When You’re Doing the Work But Nothing’s Working: The Courage to Keep Going

Lately, I’ve been sitting with a tough truth: I’m doing the work, but nothing’s working.

No callbacks.
More “no’s” than I can count.
And a growing list of reasons why maybe just maybe this isn’t the space for me.
It’s discouraging.
I’m questioning everything.
Is it my strategy?
My niche?
My timing?
My energy?
Do I need to pivot?
Do I even belong here?
Honestly, I don’t know right now. What I do know is this:
There is money to be made.
There is purpose in my journey.
There is something out there that I’m good at something I can do without crying all the time (no shade to the tears though they’ve been real ones).
I haven’t figured it all out yet.
I haven’t found my groove.
But I’m still here.
And that matters.
Because this is what no one talks about:
Success isn’t just about strategy.
It’s about stamina.
It’s about getting up even when you feel like a fool for trying again.
And that’s where I’m at tired, unsure, but showing up.
Every single week.
Trying something new.
Hoping something sticks.
I believe something will.
If You’re In This Space Too, Here’s What’s Helping Me:
Feel it. Don’t fake it.
Some days will be full of doubt. Don’t suppress it, acknowledge it, then move through it.
Pivot when needed. Don’t be afraid to reassess.
Your first idea doesn’t have to be the final one. Flexibility is power.
Don’t attach your worth to results.
You’re valuable whether the contract lands or not.
Keep trying until it clicks.
The right groove exists. The right contract, connection, or opportunity is coming.
Take breaks, not exits.
Rest. Cry. Regroup. But don’t quit on yourself.
So no, I’m not giving up.
Because I know there’s something I’m meant to do and I’ll know it when I find it.
Until then, I’m showing up tears, doubts, rejections and all.
We’re still in this. And that’s brave.
